Our completely automatic aquaPROFI filters clean themselves during running operation. This way, a continuous filtration without interruption or supervision is granted. A specially designed suction nozzle pulls the filter cake from the screen surface and ensures the automatic cleaning process. This is what makes the aquaPROFI line unique among the various options available on market.
Filters of the aquaPROFI line are designed to increase the efficiency of machine running time. An interruption of the production, to exchange candles, sand, bags, fleece or similar in a filter, does not happen. Another advance: The waste water volume of a cleaning cycle is quite small and can be recycled – e.g. in a process circuit.
The automatic self-cleaning filters of the aquaPROFI line are line filters and insignificantly heavier than the same distance of piping. Therefore, no foundation is needed.
Our self-cleaning filters of the aquaPROFI line function completely automatically. The filter is operated with a gear motor, driving the suction nozzle and shaft. Filter screens for this operation are available in numerous finenesses ranging from 2 to 1500 µm.
Entering water is filtered mechanically: The raw water enters the filter cylinder and penetrates it from inside out. Dirt particles are held back according to the chosen screen fineness and agglomerate on the filter screen forming a filter cake on the inside.
When the limit of the differential pressure is reached, the control unit triggers the self-cleaning process – the disposal of the filter cake. Alternatively, the self-cleaning cycle can be triggered by a time relay or manually on the control cabinet. The filtration process is not interrupted during the self-cleaning cycle and clean water is continuously available.
The waste water valve opens with a certain delay after the self-cleaning process is started. The gear motor initiates and drives the suction shaft, causing the suction nozzles to rotate over the filter screen with a defined distance. Powered by the pressure difference between the operating pressure in the line and the environment behind the waste water valve, raw water streams into the suction nozzles and creates a vacuum and pulls the filter cake off the screen.
To offer the most economic and efficient application, our aquaPROFI filters are available in four different types. For detailed information about the screen size, flow rate and piping connections of the different types please visit the specific product pages. Produktseiten.
